Kids Cook!™ Summer 2016 Camp Schedule

Kids Cook!™ classes are held year round.  September through May we offer after-school and weekend classes.  Our week-long summer camps are in June and July.  We are closed the first two weeks in August and the last two weeks in December.

Enrollment is limited.  These classes will fill, so do not delay!

Kids Cook!™ Café   Session 1     CLOSED
June 13-17, 2016   5 days
9 am -11:00 am
Open to kids 6-8 years old
$90 plus $45 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking tool and snacks

Inspire your kid chef to be creative, to be confident in the kitchen and to develop healthy behavior patterns.  Students will learn about the ingredients, tools, equipment and skills that you need to be a chef.  They will practice safe cutting, measuring, combining, presentation and tasting.  The Café chefs will prepare, cook and serve their creations to their customers.  Best of all:  There is a different restaurant every day!  One day is Family Day where the families get to be customers and feast on fabulous food.   This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Students take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking tool.   Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212    Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students

 

Kids Cook!™ Cooking, Cookbooks & More   CLOSED

Students learn to cut safely, combine, heat, chill, season and taste.  Lessons integrate academic components such as math, science, history, safety, hygiene & nutrition.  They will cook real food, learn how to make healthy choices and build confidence in the kitchen, in a fun, relaxed environment.  New this year, in addition to creating their own custom designed cookbooks, students will take a field trip to a garden.  Students take home a personalized recipe notebook, extra tastes and a cooking tool.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program. Kids Cook!™ at Montessori   CLOSED
June 20-24, 2016     5 days
9 am – 10 am
Open to kids 4-5 years old
$65 Includes all ingredients, recipes, cooking tool & snacks

We practice making healthy snacks and meals.  In each class the children prepare one or two simple recipes, set the table and eat what they have made.  Each child has the opportunity to work through the process and practice the cooking skills.  The class is designed to encourage independence, develop skills, nurture interest in cooking and be fun.  Held at the Little Rock Montessori School, 3704 N. Rodney Parham Rd., LR.  72212    Open to non-Montessori students.  Maximum enrollment:  10 students

Kids will cook and bake, preparing a wide variety of recipes from scratch.  Our nutrition-based classes are totally hands-on.  Best of all: everything is easily do-able at home and adults will love these recipes.  This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Kids take home extra tastes, recipes and a cooking tool.  Offered through Episcopal Collegiate School’s Summer Daze program.  Held at Episcopal Collegiate School, 1701 Cantrell Road, LR  72201   Open to non-ECS students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students    Contact Rettina Hill, Episcopal Collegiate School, 372-1194, for enrollment details.

 

Wild Kids Cook!   1 PLACE AVAILABLE

Open to kids 8 years old & up
$200   Includes $50 non-refundable registration fee, recipe book and snacks

We are delighted to be back at Wildwood Park for the Arts this summer!  Campers will receive hands-on training in the kitchen and basic cooking and food preparation skills while exploring various cuisines from around the world including Mexican, African, Chinese and more!  Wild Kids Cook! includes a field trip to the Historic Arkansas Museum garden and will culminate in a camper-prepared lunch for friends and family.  Held at Wildwood Park for the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, LR   72223   Maximum enrollment:  12 students

Participation is limited and these classes will fill.  Register early to avoid disappointment! 

 

Kids Cook!™ Cancellation Policy:  Fees are due at the time of sign-up in order to reserve your place. In order to avoid being charged the full price of the class, cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. Registrations cancelled 48 hours in advance will be refunded minus a $15 administrative fee.  You may transfer your registration to another participant or another class and avoid the fee.  In some cases, the sponsoring school or organization’s cancellation/refund policy may take precedence and a refund may not be available.  Inquire if you are uncertain.
