Kids Cook!™ Spring 2017 Class Schedule

Kids Cook!™ classes are held year round.  September through May we offer after-school and weekend classes.  Our week-long summer camps are in June and July.  We are closed the first two weeks in August and the last two weeks in December.

Enrollment is limited.  These classes will fill, so do not delay!

Note:  Our small classes mean that everyone cooks!   All our classes are totally hands-on. Plus, we serve fresh fruit and milk or water with all Kids Cook!™ menus.

Kids Cook!™ at Eggshells Kitchen Company

The theme is Kids Cookin’ for a Cause!  Kids will be baking sweets, then selling what they make in a sidewalk bake sale. Proceeds from the bake sale will fund meals for St. Francis House that are prepared and served by Episcopal Collegiate School students.  Held at Eggshells Kitchen Company, 5501 Kavanaugh Boulevard, LR  72207 . Kids Cook!™ Café   Session 1     Wait list only

Open to kids 6-8 years old
$100 plus $40 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking tool and snacks

Inspire your kid chef to be creative, to be confident in the kitchen and to develop healthy behavior patterns.  Students will learn about the ingredients, tools, equipment and skills that you need to be a chef.  They will practice safe cutting, measuring, combining, presentation and tasting.  The Café chefs will prepare, cook and serve their creations to their customers.  Best of all:  There is a different restaurant every day!  One day is Family Day where the families get to be customers and feast on fabulous food.   This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Students take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking tool.   Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212    Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students   New this year, enroll via PA’s online portal.

Students learn to cut safely, combine, heat, chill, season and taste.  Lessons integrate academic components such as math, science, history, safety, hygiene & nutrition.  They will cook real food, learn how to make healthy choices and build confidence in the kitchen, in a fun, relaxed environment.  In addition to creating their own custom designed cookbooks, students will take a field trip to a garden and create a meal from what they find growing there.  Students take home a personalized recipe notebook, extra tastes and a cooking tool.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212     Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students   New this year, enroll via PA’s online portal.

We practice making healthy snacks and meals.  In each class the children prepare one or two simple recipes, set the table and eat what they have made.  Each child has the opportunity to work through the process and practice the cooking skills.  The class is designed to encourage independence, develop skills, nurture interest in cooking and be fun.  Held at the Little Rock Montessori School, 3704 N. Wild Kids Cook!       Places available

Kids Cook!™ Cancellation Policy:  Fees are due at the time of sign-up in order to reserve your place. In order to avoid being charged the full price of the class, cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. Registrations cancelled 48 hours in advance will be refunded minus a $15 administrative fee.  You may transfer your registration to another participant or another class and avoid the fee.  In some cases, the sponsoring school or organization’s cancellation/refund policy may take precedence and a refund may not be available.  Inquire if you are uncertain.
