Jordan Butler

SPORK!™ Program coordinator/ cooking instructor

When Jordan first moved to Arkansas she taught middle school Art and Reading for 5 years. She is currently going to graduate school to obtain a Masters in Public Service and a Masters in Public Health. Her graduate work is focused on our current food environment and investigating barriers to healthy eating. In 2015, Jordan began working for Kids Cook!™ as the SPORK!™ Program coordinator where she teaches classes and works to build new partnerships with organizations throughout the city. Jordan is extremely passionate about working with kids, especially in the SPORK!™ cooking environment, and she hopes to pursue a career providing hands-on, nutrition education.  If she had to choose just one, Jordan’s favorite  Kids Cook!™ recipe would have to be the Tomatillo Salsa


Jade Pfeifer

Intern/ Cooking Assistant/ Photographer

Jade was a student in the very first Kids Cook!™ class and has been a part of the program ever since. She is an artist and is currently in the process of getting her BFA in illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition to being an assistant teacher, Jade takes professional photographs of the cooking students and the food they make. Her Favorite Kids Cook!™ recipe is Star Snacks.

Sam Thoma

Cooking Assistant

Sam has been coming to Kids Cook!™ classes for nearly 10 years, first as a student and now as an assistant. Sam recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Physics and French. He also works as an English teaching assistant at André Malraux High School in Biarritz, France. His favorite Kids Cook!™ recipe is Apple Roses.
